All faiths have their own beliefs about the nature of the world and special ways of praying and worshipping.

Jerusalem is a holy place for Jews, Muslims and Christians. Sacred sites include the western wall, the dome of the rock and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The Parsis belong to a sect of the Zoroastrian religion, which began long ago in ancient Persia, now Iran. Today, Parsis live in India and Pakistan.

Mount Athos is a rocky headland in northern Greece, holy to Christians of the Eastern Orthodox faith. Monks have worshipped there since the Middle Ages.
